You're Running Out of Time to Get Guillotine Crowns' "KILLER" & Support the NPAP
As promised, Guillotine Crowns’ single KILLER will only be available for download at our Bandcamp until Midnight ET, this Saturday August 1st. The track, which features SKECH185 from the Tomorrow Kings, was posted on June 1st, during the initial protests surrounding the murder of George Floyd and the wider Black Lives Matter movement for police and racial reforms. By Mid-August, Uncommon Records will officially announce the total dollar amount raised and donated to NPAP (see below), if you’d like to be a part of this effort please get your donation in by Saturday, the single starts at just a $5 donation, but you can donate any amount.
The track was recorded for Guillotine Crowns’ upcoming LP, but with the events that have taken place, the duo decided now was the time for it to be heard and dropped it early in an effort to raise some money for a good cause supporting the movement. While the track may appear again some time in the future, it’s donation based form (which includes the instrumental and accapella) will cease on August 1st.
The single’s full proceeds will be donated to the National Police Accountability Project. In 1999, NPAP was created as a non-profit to protect the human and civil rights of individuals in their encounters with law enforcement and detention facility personnel. The central mission of NPAP is to promote the accountability of law enforcement officers and their employers for violations of the Constitution and the laws of the United States. NPAP provides assistance with documentation and legal guidance to civil rights attorneys that seek to hold police accountable for brutality and misconduct in their cases.
