junclassic

junclassic (one word, all lowercase) began his professional underground HipHop career as a mainstay emcee over jazz and soul-influenced production. While he delivered a balance of tradition and experimentation in this styling, he also wanted to take a further left field step.  This began when he performed at the 2012 Yule Prog showcase, nursing a curiosity in Uncommon Nasa's otherworldly sound science, the two began early work shortly after that event, but a fully conceptualized album from that period was put on hold due to a variety of real world distractions. 

In 2023 jun and Nasa re-connected creatively, this time slowly building a new album with Nasa's now further entrenched synth and drum-heavy sound. The project, entitled Music to My Eyes, drops this Summer 2025 on Uncommon Records via digital and limited edition digipak CD. The album centers around the story of our protagonist pushing and clawing his way through the valleys and peaks towards greatness until he is suddenly confronted with the horrifying price of his lifelong pursuit.
